little，small
這一對形容詞是同義詞，但修辭意味有所不同。
Little 往往帶有感情色彩，有指小和可愛的意味，它的對義詞是great或big。
small是中性詞，不帶感情色彩，它的反義詞是large。通過下列詞語的比較，我們可以分辨它們的隱含意義：
