英語(yǔ)四級(jí)考試近義詞辨析
在學(xué)習(xí)專(zhuān)業(yè)英語(yǔ)詞匯中，有時(shí)同義詞的辨析是很不容易的，我們一般從三方面進(jìn)行區(qū)分，即：語(yǔ)法、語(yǔ)義和文體。語(yǔ)法主要是詞性、搭配、句式等的`區(qū)分;語(yǔ)義主要是詞義的本義、引申義、比喻義和內(nèi)涵和外延等的區(qū)分;文體主要是正式和非正式、褒義和貶義等的區(qū)分。
1.環(huán)境 形勢(shì)
(環(huán)境 形勢(shì)) conditions: The location and other factors likely to affect it. It suggests something that has stayed the same for some time and which affects daily life such as food, work, and houses. We are now studying the economic conditions in the developing countries.
(形勢(shì)) situation: A position or state at a particular time, set of conditions, facts, and events having an effect on a person, society, etc. It suggests more general matters such as government planning and finance. The political situation in these countries are always changing.
(環(huán)境 周?chē)?外界) environment: The circumstances, things and conditions that influence you. It refers to spirit aspect, physical aspect and material aspect. We must try to beautify our environment.
(形勢(shì) 情況) circumstance(s): A situation or event around us, a certain kind of atmosphere, the conditions that affect what happens. in (under) the circumstances
(環(huán)境 周?chē)挛? surrounding(s): The area and environment around a place or person. It indicates a very narrow condition, physically sometimes reflects spiritual aspect. They lived in hostile surroundings.
